Registered Radiologist Assistant Needed in South Suburbs of Chicago!

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) to join our physician-led radiology group just outside of Chicago.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of 5 interventional radiologists, 2 interventional PAs, and 20 diagnostic radiologists. Our group provides radiology services at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL, and Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. We are specifically looking for energetic, motivated individuals to help expand our clinical service and assist in basic procedures.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical

  • Educate and Support Patients During Imaging Procedures
  • Document Patient History and Manage Consent
  • Utilize Clinical Information Systems
  • Collaborate Across the Care Team
  • May require commuting between hospitals based upon service needs
  • Potential for shared weekend call coverage based upon service needs (for additional compensation)

Procedural

Assist with diagnostic GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures, including, but not limited to:
  • Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Study
  • Upper and Lower GI
  • Small bowel studies
  • VCUG
Potential to assist with interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR
If unfamiliar and/or uncomfortable with these procedures, our team will train you; this is a great opportunity for on-the-job training from a highly talented group of Radiologists in a fun, collegial environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of ARRT-approved radiologist assistant educational program
  • Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) as a Radiologist Assistant
  • Temporary license/accreditation accepted. Must obtain IEMA as Radiologist Assistant within 12 months of start date.
  • Certified as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) through Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA)
  • At least one (1) year of clinical experience performing fluoroscopy-guided procedures
  • Skilled in navigating and documenting within EMR, RIS, and PACS systems to support efficient imaging workflow
