Another RA Win!
On May 5, 2026, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed House Bill 571 (the Radiologist Assistant Act) into law, establishing a formal licensure framework for radiologist assistants (RAs). The bill, which passed with strong support, allows qualified RAs to practice in Georgia under radiologist supervision, ensuring standardized, regulated care and improving patient access to services. The SRPE would like to thank the Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the Georgia Radiological Society, and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for their support of HB 571 and their continued advocacy for the RA!
